Level Hey
Evening
Level Hey is the first of the advanced levels. The grammar includes the special derivatives and the exceptional verbs, but the emphasis is on extended vocabulary and includes words and expressions in the fields of economics, law and sociology.
At Level Hey the students will read articles, legal analysis and literary texts. Classroom discussions are aimed at expressing a reasoned and convincing position on various issues. The course participants also practice watching Hebrew television news reports and comprehending their contents. By the end of the semester the students will be able to listen to Hebrew media and read complex articles. In addition, the students will be able to express their opinion in a rich and nuanced manner in writing and in speech. The books used in this level are Kemo Kelim Shluvim, Tachbir Meshulav lerama Hey and Rav Pe’alim – part 2. According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) the students will reach proficiency Level C1.1.
